Capture the Eta Aquariid meteor shower with Ring!

Recording meteors and fireballs enables scientists to derive information about the origin, size, and composition of space rocks entering Earth’s atmosphere and learn more about the formation of our Solar System.

UKFAll and Ring are helping more people to observe and record fireballs from their homes!

To help the British public record meteors and fireballs, UKFAll is giving away 50 Ring devices* to offer the opportunity to capture the upcoming Eta Aquariid meteor shower which occurs from April 19th to May 28th.

Selected applicants will receive a free Ring Wired Video Doorbell Pro or a Ring Stick Up Cam Pro directly from UKFAll. The devices are available to those in selected areas that have the best conditions to view astronomical activity.

  • Application is open to UK residents only. Entrants must be 18 or over.
  • Applications are open to individuals located in or near Exmoor, Northumberland, Scottish Highlands, South Downs, North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales, Cranborne Chase or Cornwall.
  • Applications will be reviewed by UKFAll. 50 individuals will be selected based on the applicant’s answer and location in the UK. Selected applicants will be contacted by the UKFAII via email throughout the activity period.
  • Applications close when the 50 devices have been claimed.
  • Prize is one Ring Wired Video Doorbell Pro or Ring Stick Up Cam Pro.
  • Ring Video Doorbells are wired devices. Installation of the devices will require a professional installation and is the responsibility of the applicant. Instructions and guidelines will be provided.
  • Following delivery, UKFAll is not responsible for the installation, operation, or maintenance of Ring cameras and doorbells.
  • UKFAII and Ring are not liable for the purchase of the Ring Protect Basic or Ring Protect Plus subscription plan. Subscriptions are at the responsibility of the recipient.
  • Applicant names, contact details, and postcodes collected by UKFAll, as the Data Controller, will be used by UKFAII to review the applications and arrange for the prizes to be distributed to the winners. No data will be shared with third parties. All data will be held for a maximum of two months and then deleted once this time period has expired.
